Williams-Sonoma

Williams-Sonoma (WSI) is a retailer based out of San Francisco, CA, that sells upscale household goods and furnishing through its stores and direct-to-customer channels. It has over 600 stores, a total annual turnover of over four billion dollars, and owns such brands as Pottery Barn, West Elm and Williams-Sonoma Home.
WSI data warehouse implementation has over 650 active users running about three thousand on-demand reports everyday against a 2TB database. Yómarí provided full life-cycle Business Intelligence consulting services that included everything from gathering end-user requirements to final production roll-out at WSI related to development and expansion of their retail data warehouse to a robust multi-channel and multi-brand enterprise reporting system.
WSI uses Oracle Retail Data Warehouse (RDW) as the core of its data warehouse application, but has implemented significant custom solutions and functionality around this core. Data flowing to this application comes from dozens of applications including JDA, RMS, ReSA, IPMS and PKMS.
WSI data warehouse uses Teradata as the database server, Ab Initio as the ETL tool, and MicroStrategy and Business Objects as the OLAP tools.
Gander Mountain

Gander Mountain is a retailer based in St. Paul, MN that sell sporting and hunting goods. It has over 125 stores and an annual turnover of over a billion dollars. Yómarí has been providing one-stop service for all their Business Intelligence consulting needs.
Gander Mountain's data warehouse has about 120 users who run about 1500 on-demand user-defined reports against a 2TB database every day. Yómarí was the leader in 're-platforming' their entire data warehouse from an Oracle database to Netezza Performance Server, including re-writing all their legacy ETL programs, migrating data, and re-building end-user reports.
Gander Mountain uses Netezza as the database server, Yómarí Oracle Retail Toolkit for data integration and ETL, and MicroStrategy as the OLAP tool.
Orscheln Farm and Home
Orscheln is a billion dollar retailer based in Moberly, MO that sells farm and home related products. It has about 150 stores spread mostly across the United States Midwest.
Yómarí did the end-to-end implementation of their Retail Data Warehouse system that is used by the merchants, buyers, planners, and store managers. These users use the system to perform analyses on inventory management, sales performance, pricing and promotions effectiveness, vendor compliance and loss prevention among other tasks.
Yómarí performed the following tasks:
- Analyze user requirements and develop end-user reports based on the requirements
- Migration and conversion of data from their legacy system to the new data warehouse system
- System and integration testing of the data extract and load process
Orscheln uses Oracle as the database server, RETL for data integration and ETL, and MicroStrategy as the OLAP tool.
